“DRESSED” FOR CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas and welcome! I am so glad you are here! I could hardly wait to share my kitchenscape with you.

A little red dress, a black belt and red high heels is what my kitchen will be “wearing” this Christmas holiday.

‘Tis the season to sparkle.

Naughty or Nice … decisions, decisions. Naughty is such a strong word, I prefer to think of myself as NICE-ISH. Do I have to decide right now? Can I change my mind? Can I choose both?

This year’s kitchen fashion is glitzy, glamorous and elegant all in one.

The shoe designer is Patience Brewster of Dept 56.

The window treatment is dramatic and festive. A black valance, red flowers and black belt ribbon.

It’s all fun and games until Santa checks the naughty list.

“A diamond is a chunk of coal that did well under pressure.”  Henry Kissinger

Don’t get your tinsel in a tangle! STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERTS.

Even the tree is all “decked-out” in her red hot apron and gold necklace made of bells.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, it’s the most wonderful time of year.

Red velvet, white fur and a touch of holly are the biggest trend this time of year and certainly a “perfect fit” for this kitchen.

As your host, I had a good time picking out the glitzy girl party dress and accessories.

The wardrobe fashion designer for the little red dress is Timree from Michaels Crafts.

Timree is an artist from California and has been voted one of the top ten “Most Sought-After Art Classes” in the United States. She is a self-taught artist and believes art should be bright, colorful and never perfect. Her holiday collection was the inspiration to my theme and certainly puts a big smile on my face.

A cupcake wrapper from Timree embellishes a petite jar of mint candies.

Have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy the holiday season.   Janice

Never seen so much red, green and White. You did good, Janice. The tree is very unusual. Beth likes the overall pic of the kitchen and I like the little baby in the window. I hope Twinda didn’t cut that black and red ribbon behind your back or there will definitely be coal in her stocking! Love you. Merry Christmas.

I love how you took one little design image by Timree of a dress trimmed in fur with a Santa belt and hat and used it so creatively…the fur trim on things, the belts all around, and the dresses/aprons. I especially love the valance trimmed with the belt ribbon and the apron Christmas tree. It is so much fun looking at all the little details that tie everything together.

I love it all and you are so very talented! Can’t wait to be there with you and see your creativity in action!
