The gingerbread man, a gingerbread house and gingersnap cookies all have one thing in common, ginger!
My table represents the gingerbread man. Visualize the ric rac ribbon as the icing used to decorate the cookie. The brown dishes are his color and the cookie cutters are his shape.
In this Tom Browning print called “A Pinch of Cheer”, Santa appears to be very comfortable in the kitchen. He is making a special stew. I’ll bet he cooks quite often for Mrs. Claus.
I like to imitate the items pictured in art. Here I’ve mimicked the things in Santa’s kitchen.
Look real close and you”ll see Santa’s helpers, the Elves. They are busy, busy, busy!
But nooooo… my mice were not even stirring.
This Tom Browning print is called “Santa’s Cuisine”. Notice the garlic, milk and white mixing bowl in the print.
His special stew is called Sauerbraten and the secret ingredient is gingersnap cookies. You can find the recipe (here).
If I were an elf, I would be the taste tester. I could do that … what a great but very important job.
In my gingerbread house, I have a stack of quilts with a dark ginger colored teddy bear sitting comfortably on top.
Santa hasn’t decided on the cake recipe for these two cake pans. Maybe you have a suggestion.
Run, run, run as fast as you can! You can’t catch me! I’m the Gingerbread Man!

I love this…and I don’t even like ginger. I especially like the Santa prints and the way you duplicate the scenes. Santa’s are so jolly looking it really puts you in the Christmas spirit. It was fun looking for all the little gingerbread people.. I wish more children could visit this kitchen.
